Event Description:
COMMUTERS, please be aware of NEW ROUTE AND SCHEDULE CHANGES and NEW SERVICES due to the Grand Avenue Bridge closure. Plan ahead by previewing schedules at www.rfta.com to see how your normal commutes may be affected. PLEASE EXPECT THE FOLLOWING CHANGES AND ADJUST YOUR COMMUTES ACCORDINGLY: SERVICE ALERT – ROARING FORK VALLEY LOCAL – Service will run seven days a week with reduced and date sensitive services. Only select buses will travel past the Glenwood Springs 27th Street Station, otherwise a connection will have to be made to travel past 27th Street to downtown and West Glenwood Springs via the Grand Avenue Bridge Detour Bus routes. SERVICE ALERT – VELOCIRFTA BRT – Service will run seven days a week with reduced service during mid-day hours and after 6:00pm. Late night hourly BRT service after 8:18 p.m. will be suspended until Thanksgiving. Only select BRT buses will travel past the Glenwood Springs 27th Street Station, otherwise a connection will have to be made to travel past 27th Street to downtown and West Glenwood Springs via the Grand Avenue Bridge Detour Bus routes NEW – GRANDE AVENUE BRIDGE DETOUR ROUTES (INCLUDING RIDE GLENWOOD) – These routes will be servicing the majority of Glenwood Springs starting August 14th. Bus routes can be viewed at www.rfta.com/gab. These routes include: • NORTH PEDESTRIAN BRIDGE TO/FROM WEST GLENWOOD SPRINGS MALL (RIDE GLENWOOD) • 27TH STREET STATION TO/FROM AMTRAK STATION • WEST GLENWOOD PARK & RIDE TO/FROM 27TH STREET & ROARING FORK MARKET PLACE NEW – GRAND HOGBACK – Service will have extended hours and will run 7 days a week with select buses extending to Parachute. Transfers to other bus routes must be made North of the Pedestrian Bridge in Glenwood Springs, in many cases requiring people to walk across the pedestrian bridge and catch the shuttle from the AMTRAK station to the 27th St. BRT station in order to transfer to BRT and local buses traveling up valley. SERVICE ALERT – WOODY CREEK – Service discontinues after September 4, 2017 SERVICE ALERT – CITY OF ASPEN – Schedules change after September 4th, services will have reduced hours and the CROSSTOWN SHUTTLE will discontinue until winter.
