DESCRIPTION:THE 7TH ANNUAL ASCENDIGO BLUE ASPEN autism benefit event will take place on Saturday\, February 17\, 2018 at the Belly Up in downtown Aspen. Hosted at the height of Aspen's winter season over the busy President's Day Weekend\, Ascendigo Blue Aspen is the signature fundraising event of Ascendigo Autism Services. This grand evening anchors an exciting weekend of festivities. Formerly known as Light It Up Blue Aspen\, Ascendigo Blue Aspen has been renamed to bring more awareness to Ascendigo and its mission   to raise both awareness and much-needed funds to assist families and children on the autism spectrum in the Roaring Fork Valley and western Colorado communities. All proceeds from Ascendigo Blue Aspen (ABA) directly benefit these programs through its beneficiary\, Ascendigo. \n\nDay:\n\nVertical Blue\, Autism Awareness Day at Aspen Highlands features a full day of festivities in the base area including\n\n     - Ascendigo Autism Services booth\n     - Apr s ski party with DJ entertainment\n\n     - Prize drawings and giveaways with ABA pro athletes and celebrities.\n\nNight:\nABA turns the Belly Up Aspen blue for a lively reception style evening of fundraising\, delectable food & beverage stations\, live concert\, photo-booth\, VIP gift bags and more. Guests will be able to bid on fabulous one-of a kind live auction experiences and luxury raffle items.\n\n The evening will kick off with a VIP reception offering sponsors and VIP guests a chance to mingle with athletes\, musicians and celebrity guests. Last year's guests included Robert F. Kennedy Jr.\, Cheryl Hines\, Dr. Jennifer Berman of CBS's "The Doctors"\, and World Class Ski Mountaineer Chris Davenport. Previous special guests and Olympic athletes Bode Miller and Jonny Mosely skied with Ascendigo kids and live auction experience winners over the weekend.
