All-Levels Community Hip Hop Workshop with Passion Fruit Dance Company

Founder of Passion Fruit Dance Company, Tatiana Desardouin, will guide you through a fun, expressive, and unique workshop designed to help you find your own groove. Be ready to let loose and have some fun! The classes will include introduction to hip-hop and house dance culture, drills, foundations, and incorporates some variations and freestyle exercises using those foundations as a basis. Dancers will learn how to connect movements with music and gain tools for creativity and individuality. They will also learn through Tatiana’s teaching method called "Technique Within Your Groove". This method allows for more freedom in one’s musicality, to freestyle and to incorporate technical tools without losing the groove. This method also pushes the dancers to develop their coordination and rhythm. The dancers will also have the opportunity to go more in depth with personal development and engage in conversations where the students will be introduced to “An Introspective Seed”, which is a series of question for an introspective anti-racist work.
