Job Description
Alpine Animal Hospital in Carbondale, Colorado is seeking to support the people and pets of the Roaring Fork Valley by growing our team.  Alpine has been a part of the valley for over 40 years and we are a privately owned, AAHA accredited practice with a Fear Free Certified team.  We offer specialty dentistry services, surgical and dental suites, a cat-specific room, a comfort room with separate exit, isolation, endoscopy, ultrasound, digital radiography, laser therapy, a complete in house laboratory, pharmacy, and more.

We are hopeful to find an individual who will want to call the valley and Alpine Animal Hospital home.  Our needs are for a small animal general practitioner with interest in surgery and emergency medicine that is team oriented, motivated and wants to help people in our community be the best pet parents possible.  Here at Alpine our culture is extremely important and we are looking for the right person to help care for our patients and become part of our team.   

Our staff enthusiastically provides the very best care for our patients and empathy for our clients.  Located on the western slope of Colorado, our valley is a wonderful place to raise a family, play in the rivers and on the mountains, and pursue all kinds of outdoor activities.  We have quality schools and an abundance of small town social and cultural events.  Most of the valley is extremely pet friendly and our clients are interested in taking good care of their animals. Our work features:
  1. Ultrasound, digital x-ray, therapeutic laser, shockwave, endoscopy, a full-service lab and pharmacy, complete dental and surgical suites
  2. Ambulatory and home health care services
  3. A designated feline only room for our feline patients
  4.  Fear Free certified staff
  5. A designated comfort room and garden for saying good-bye to patients
  6. A 10,000 square foot facility that allows us to provide full service large and small animal services very efficiently (we share the building with a separate business; Alpine Equine Hospital, an equine and large animal veterinary service).
We offer a competitive salary, paid-time-off, continuing education and professional membership allowances, access to group health insurance plan, IRA contribution, uniform allowance and paid licensure fees.  We also offer a moving stipend with a signed employment contract.
