About Us

The Mission of the Carbondale Bicycle Project (CBP) is to increase individual, community, environmental, and global health by operating a sustainable, safe, and educational community bicycle shop and bicycle education programs. CBP is the Roaring Fork Valley's only community bicycle shop providing free or low-cost bicycle tools, parts, bikes, mechanical expertise, helmets, safety and technical education. CBP takes in unwanted bikes, re-furbishes them and sells back to the community or donates to non profits, keeping these bikes out of the landfill. Some non profits that have received donated bikes from CBP are LaPlaza in Palisade (bikes are used as commuter bikes for field workers,) Bicycles for Humanity (bikes go to Africa) and Navajo Yes! (providing bikes for Navajo youth in New Mexico and Arizona,)
