About Us

Dance Initiative is a nonprofit organization based in Carbondale dedicated to making dance accessible to all. We provide youth and adult dance education, host world-class artist residencies, and co-manage The Launchpad studios to support local dancers and creators. Through community programs, school partnerships, and cultural collaborations, we use dance to connect people across backgrounds, inspire creativity, and strengthen community belonging throughout the Roaring Fork Valley.
