This class will visit Upper Sonoran and lower Montane habitats including cattail marshes, open water and shorelines, riverbottom cottonwoods and willows, pinyon-juniper woodlands, oak and mountain mahogany shrublands, sagebrush shrublands, and Colorado Blue Spruce riparian forests. A sampling of the birds we hope to observe includes Lewis's Woodpecker, Black-chinned Hummingbirds, Spotted Towhee, Pinyon Jay, Long-billed Dowitcher, Western Grebe, American Kestral, Lazuli Bunting, Bushtit, Ash-throated Flycatcher, Black-throated Gray Warbler, Bullock's Oriole, and many more.
