Zikr Dance Ensemble

Zikr Dance Ensemble, Denver’s nationally acclaimed contemporary dance company is excited to announce its 2023 Fall Season program, “Initiation”. Featured on the program will be a reprise of Tomm Ruud’s stunning miniature masterpiece and audience favorite, “Mobile”, along with two new premieres by Artistic Director David Taylor, “Icarus After”, based on the Greek myth of the son of master craftsman Daedulus, who flew close to the sun with his waxen wings, and “Ripples in the Sand”, an abstract work set to the haunting music of Hans Zimmer.

With stunning set designs and graphic projections and animations, this spectacular multi-media performance by Denver’s most unique dance company is not to be missed! Zikr’s fall performances will also feature two incredibly talented male guest artists from the UK, William Mitchell and Italian dancer Nicola Marchionni.
