The Town of Carbondale is accepting applications for our Aquatics Center for the position of Aquatics Supervisor. The Aquatics Supervisor is integral to the day-to-day operations of the Aquatics Center. This role performs a variety of duties including but not limited to oversight of staff and staff schedules, facility operations, customer service, operating as a lifeguard/swim instructor when needed, providing recommendations to the Aquatics and Health & Wellness Coordinator, and ensuring a clean and safe environment for all. A valid Colorado driver’s license is required. Physical exam, pre-employment and substance abuse testing will be required. Work hours require a flexible schedule that may include morning, evenings, weekends, and holidays. The Aquatics Center is seasonal with a planned open in May and a closure in September or October depending on staff availability. Starting pay will be $26.00 /hour depending on qualifications. A Red Cross Lifeguard certificate and Water Safety Instructor certificate is required before the first day of work. In-house certification available. Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, 2+ years in aquatics or previous management experience preferred but not required.
