Carbondale Aquatics Center- Swim Instructor

The Town of Carbondale is accepting applications for our Aquatics Center for the position of Swim Instructor. Swim Instructors will perform a variety of duties but not limited to developing an appropriate lesson schedule, following Red Cross Learn-to-Swim program and level test outs, communicating with parents, ensuring proper pool chemical levels for classes, assisting with cancelation notices, and ensuring a clean and safe environment for all. A valid Colorado driver’s license is required. Physical exam, pre-employment and substance abuse testing will be required. Work hours require a flexible schedule that may include morning, evenings, weekends, and holidays. The Aquatics Center is seasonal with a planned open in May and a closure in September or October depending on staff availability. Starting pay will be $30.00 /class depending on qualifications.

A Red Cross Water Safety Instructor certificate is required before the first day of work. In-house certification available.
